  Correlation decline JW numbers and JW broadcasting?

  i read some impressive figures here about the decline of the jw numbers in 2015.. could there be a correlation between this decline and the start of jw broadcasting?.

  hence, that there would be an negative impact because the gb is standing so nearby, you can experience the idiot reasoning of their doctrines sitting in your own living room?.

  Last assembly I was at this summer everyone was clearly uncomfortable when Lett came on air. That and the giant screens on both sides of the stage had me running to the bathroom in a fit of panic ( an actual panic attack ) Went back for one more regular meeting after and called it quits. Was invited for a CO visit I said to myself screw it made a clean break. A cool guy elder came by once I laid it on the line he agreed with me on a couple points never heard back don't really care.

  Oh went for a med renewal this evening at practitioners ( the WT gave me high BP, was normal before the 'truth' ) and told the Doctor to annul the transfusion prohibition mention that I had asked for in my in my file years ago.

  I met a df'ed JW when we were both in our early thirties. He's born in, and all heck broke loose with him during that period. I remember him accusing me of being weird for not hitting the strip clubs.. Some people just need to be told what to do 24/7

  the more specific the better :) here are mine:.

  i predict that within the next two to three years (2017-2018) we will start seeing negative numbers in growth.. i predict that within the next thirteen to fifteen years (2027-2030) the number of jws will be less than 4million.. and i predict that by the time the first person sets foot on mars there will already have been a major split in the organization with either one of the gb or a branch overseer starting a new religion..

  I know many apostates and many others that have simply stopped going. The ones still in have too much invested, brought their whole family in or are waiting for parents to pass so as to get that nice inheritance. I know of two cases at least big $ at stake ! Money and social status talks loud.

  Is it true? Heard a rumor WT postphones Disfellowshipping until further notice!!??

  i am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.

  i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.

  has anyone else heard anything like this recently?

  JWs have more good points than bad

  1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).

  2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.

  this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

  Epic post !! I OP I was where you are on account of not taking the time to do my own due diligence. I wouldn't of gotten baptized had I of known. Research the societies history and the societies four kings. Things went downhill quickly with Rutherford, still felt to this day in their company men. If you are happy in then good for you, but intellectual dishonesty does not sit well with me reason I'm out, not on account of wanting to hit the strip clubs.

  today i was testing my co worker to see if he's really a jw.

  with simple things like god bless you when you cough.

  asked about his birthday and remember he wished me happy birthday a few months ago.

  Captives of a Concept, Math 24:45-47 and Prov 4:18 or Light getting brighter.

  I'M also reverse witnessing to a buddy that has JW in his dept. so that he does not get pulled in. It all makes so much sense at first until you dig deeper. Do your own diligence. No one would ever get to baptism if they did.

  Kingdom Consolidation and Sales are coming – Reliable Source

  i heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.

  currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.

  any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.

  Hope it works out Brandbew, keep us up to speed please. ( that and the chick ) There was a similar case up my way in the Ottawa region, some elders got their grubby little hands on a dying sisters estate to the tune of 300K. The non JW daughter got nothing. Went to court, haven't heard back how it went down. Bastards !

  Which reminds me I have to strike the WT off my will, unbelievably I put them in for 10K when I was suicidal in '08 ! Ah good old FOG, fear obligation and guilt.

  Retirement Planning for ex-JW's

  this is something i think about a lot, possibly because i'm just getting older.

  it seems that not only should i finally one day decide what i want to do with my life, but i should also be planning for retirement.. hands up everyone who feels their future has been royally screwed by the wts experience?.

  if you were a good jw and followed the wts advice you could well be finding yourself facing middle or even old age without much or anything put aside in retirement savings.

  An nice older elder that I know that lives mostly off the good graces of his hardworking business savy son in law told me that I would be one of the few in the circuit to have a 'golden retirement' or 'retraite doré' as he put it in French. He alluded that I should rethink my priorities haha ! I've just been doing what is reasonable and responsible all along. Some others I know are still in for the very obvious reason of banking on their inheritance.
